Yuzu Agrumato
Yuzu Agrumato is a complex oil made by simultaneously crushing fresh yuzu and olives together. The flavour of yuzu permeates the oil – it’s absolutely amazing. Available in 100 ml, 250 ml and 500 ml sizes.
Description
Yuzu Agrumato
The term Agrumato is Italian in origin, and originally referred to a process developed in Abruzzo of simultaneously crushing citrus fruit with olives to produce exceptionally flavored olive oils.
Farmers of the Abruzzo region would create a limited amount of very special Agrumato oil that they would give as gifts to family and friends and our yuzu agrumato is truly special.
The process is tedious and more expensive than just producing Extra Virgin Olive Oil and our friends at Mount Buffalo Olives took a bit of convincing to undertake the process. To make our Yuzu Agrumato oil, olives along with our locally grown ripe fresh yuzu were crushed and pressed simultaneously to produce oils with flavor profiles that perfectly match the yuzu. It is fortuitous that the yuzu and olive harvests coincide so we can get both fruits crushed together when they are at their peak of ripeness.
Whilst it is made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil agrumato cannot be called “Extra Virgin”. The olives and yuzu were cold pressed and after settling the 2020 oil has been released for sale on 12 July.
Yuzu agrumato’s unique fresh flavour is excellent on fish, poultry or in salads of just as a dip for bread. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Is this really the last 1 litre bottle available? Can’t wait to try this new product!
MountainYuzu –
Yes Pamela, we only had 1 x 1 litre bottle. It was just an experiment this year so we didn’t make very much and thought it best to put it into smaller bottles so we could share it further.

I never leave reviews but the yuzu agrumato is so delicious I just had to tell you. Great idea. I hope the olive and yuzu worlds collide again so we can all get our hands on it next year. Thanks

Hello Rosie, thanks for your kind words. It’s lovely to hear you are enjoying it. We made the agrumato as a bit of an experiment and can’t believe how it’s turned out, we thought it would be good but not this good. Glad to know you agree! Will definitely be doing it again next year.
